FAQ's
I don't knit but I want to be involved. How can I help the cause?
You can help by sponsoring a knitter. For every $25.00 tax deductible contribution you make, a hat will be donated to a treatment center.
I am a knitter and I want to participate. Do I have to get sponsorships?
Our goal is for every knitter to obtain minimum sponsorships totalling $100. AND, every knitter who obtains $100 in sponsorships will receive a free Kaps for Kendall t-shirt.
Where do sponsorship funds go?
100% of the sponsor money goes to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund (FARF)
All donations are fully tax deductible and donors will receive a letter from FARF to use as a tax receipt.
How do I win prizes?
There will be random drawings all day! You will also be entered into a raffle for every hat you knit at the event. PLUS, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded to those raising the most sponsorhsip money.
What do I need to bring?
Bring 16" circular needles for kitting hats. We recommend sizes 6 to 10. If you have yarn and pattern(s), to work on, bring them! There will be only a limited number of hat kits available (yarn and pattern) at the event.
